A fan just blows hot air around. I hated visiting family as a kid and they didn't have a/c. Even now when I visit they want to hang outside in this heat, flys everywhere and they're ok with it. I remember when I first moved out i rented a little house and got a window unit. I could barely sleep for fear someone break in that window. My naive self put the unit in a chair with a fan blowing behind it. It was cold until I woke up sweating. It's called a window unit for a reason 😂🤣 But if people have a few hundred dollars there's some units that go inside with a hose that leads out window. I had one and loved it. But i understand not everyone have extra money to spend on things the rental property should be handling.
